Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with QuickBooks experience to join their nonprofit organization in Sacramento, California. This role is a temp to hire opportunity and is perfect for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment, is mission-driven, and has a keen eye for detail, particularly in managing financial records and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
• Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Process payroll for up to 30 employees.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
• Provide support during audits and tax preparations as needed.
• Handle any discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper with proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.

Required Work Hours

The position requires working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, onsite in California.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
